Job Description
The Plumbing Service Estimator plays a critical role in our service operations by turning field-identified opportunities into accurate, timely, and profitable proposals. This position works closely with technicians, dispatch, and leadership to ensure customers receive clear solutions, realistic timelines, and a high level of communication throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
- Build, price, and deliver small to mid-sized plumbing service estimates based on technician findings
- Review technician-provided scope, labor, and materials to ensure accuracy and completeness before sending proposals
- Provide accurate lead times and proactively communicate any delays or changes to customers
- Coordinate with purchasing and dispatch to confirm material availability and job readiness
- Identify required equipment (lifts, safety gear, tools, manpower) and ensure all are accounted for in proposals
- Communicate clearly with technicians to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Visit job sites as needed to assess complex repairs or replacements and ensure accurate quoting
- Prioritize estimates based on urgency and customer needs to support fast turnaround on critical service work
- Follow up on open proposals to drive closure, support customers, and meet sales targets
- Collaborate with other estimators and department leaders to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of all quotes
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience in the field or estimating role
- Strong understanding of commercial/service plumbing systems and repair scopes
- Ability to read situations, anticipate needs, and build complete, accurate estimates
- Strong communication skills with both field teams and customers
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple estimates and priorities at once
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Comfortable with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
- General computer competency and ability to learn internal systems quickly
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
- Primarily office-based role
- Company vehicle provided when job site visits are required
