Rolls Mechanical is a family owned and operated commercial and industrial mechanical contractor based in Fenton, Michigan. Founder and President, Jim Rolls, has always been mechanically inclined. His family owned Rolls Battery and Electric in Royal Oak, MI and after school or during weekends, you could always find Jim in the shop taking things apart and seeing how they work. Jim went to vocational trade school at 16 and completed the 2-year program early. In 1979, before graduating High School, Jim took his first HVACR job at a refrigeration company in metro Detroit working for free, just to get the experience and break into the trade. After this humble beginning, Jim was given a payed position with that company and proved he was a natural. For over 10 years Jim worked as a pipe fitter and continued to expand his knowledge and love for the trade. Jim has worked on hundreds of memorable new projects and retrofit HVACR jobs across the state.

In 1994, Jim Rolls foundedRolls Mechanical Jim started off small with one good man, that is still employed with him today, and they strived to be the best. He wanted to make a living doing what he loved and having fun doing it, “I feel like my career has never been a job, it is a true passion. My love for the trade runs deep”. Having over 40+ years of experience in the trade, along with the many expert employees that we consider family, we have over 545+ years of combined experience in HVACR service. We employ over 55 highly skilled professionals between multiple divisions: Refrigeration, Construction, Controls, Pipe Fitting & Plumbing, HVACR Service and Ammonia Refrigeration Construction & Service.

Our expertise is not limited to Michigan- we are proudly licensed in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin.

In 2016, our second generation of family started full time at Rolls Mechanical, when Karly Rolls joined the staff. Karly graduated from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, then continued on to complete her associate degree of applied science of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology at Mott Community College and is currently finishing her graduate MBA- Analytics, Technology & Innovation at Cleary University. In addition, Karly has just started her HVACR Engineering Technology and Energy Management degree at Ferris State University.
